The perfect Brand Story for your service-based business

As a serviced-based business owner you understand the important of getting to the heart of your ideal audience. If you don’t, they won’t listen to you.

Your solution, in the eyes of your potential customer, should be super enticing, relatable and not a pitch.  I really wish I could obliterate this word from our vocabulary. To the true experts in sales, they know how to create a great pitch. And guess what? They are not pitching. I know…..confusing.

Let me explain.

For anyone outside of the sales and marketing industry we equate pitching to that over the top selling nonsense. If you are like me, you hate that sleazy sales tactic of manipulating one’s thoughts into believing you are oh-so amazing and can solve my everything. That sleazy person who promises you 10X the profits, or 10X the leads- ARGH!   Ten times what?  You are guessing what that client even has and these sleazy folks make you believe they are actually going to deliver it. YUK!

Or, what about the one that trashes competition. Like trash them so bad in order to position themselves as the almighty among the clan. Please.  Save it for the soap opera network.

I learned , from a very wise women, long ago, that the only person you make look bad when you do that is yourself. Even the person who is listening might be sucked in to their spell initially, but eventually the spell does break.

Hey. We are all human. I am not perfect. I have fell into this space from time to time.  I am lucky enough to surround myself with amazing colleagues, friends and mentors who inspire me to stay in my lane, and just keep doing what I do – and stay the course. Because, my friends, I am in this for the long game.

Want to find new clients? Stop perfecting your sleazy pitch

So how do we let our audience know we are the one they should hire?

I come from a generation where talking about yourself was “bragging”. Or at least in my household it definitely was frowned upon.  That is how we were raised.  So, to prop myself up and tell you all my accolades is really hard.

Thankfully , my coach and my closest collaborators  help me with that.  And, I have my wonderful clients. 😊 Through testimonials, I can share my clients experiences and what they got from working with me. So can you. Don’t be scared to ask for them.  If you do great work, your clients usually are more than happy to write you a great testimonial.

Another way is with The Right Message. The one that speaks so clearly to the problem you solve and they have.

I truly believe, today, the majority of people  don’t respond to manipulations and false promises.  The sad thing is though, some do unfortunately.

I’ve been in this industry a long time. I have seen people come into the scene and blow the “sales” roof off , and turn heads where everyone think they are the cat’s meow.  We call them super nova’s. They start with a bang, lots of flashing lights but they later fizzle out.

Running a business is about the long game.

It is not about a few sales. It is about creating sales consistently, doing it right so you not only attract and acquire new clients , you also have the ability to keep them coming . They return to work with you because your customer service is great, what you deliver works, and the overall experience was a positive one.

And that is why I created my program.
